Media Services supports the WNC curriculum by purchasing and servicing classroom media equipment, filming classes, streaming media, and mixing sound, along with interactive video conferencing support. They provide copying services for media that accompany WNC classroom-related materials and textbooks.
Media equipment may be loaned to college personnel for instructional purposes including: computers, computer projection units, video and digital cameras, video/DVD players, CD players, slide projectors, and other types of equipment. A minimum 24-hour notice is required to ensure that the equipment is available and can be delivered to your teaching location on the requested date. (Due to limited availability of equipment, priority is given to the earliest request.) Faculty and staff should request equipment using this online Equipment Request Form. They will need their NSHE I.D. # and password to use this form.
Many classrooms at WNC have equipment permanently installed. Mediated rooms generally include the following equipment:
• Digital Multimedia Projector Mounted to the Ceiling
• Projection Screen
• Computer with Ethernet Access
• Video DVD/VHS Player

Media staff provide sound equipment setup for college events and classes. Sound system support includes: microphones (wired or wireless), and speakers (minimum one week notice). Users can request digital projectors and screens, computers, and an internet connection. Training is provided upon request.
Duplicating services are provided to college personnel with a minimum 48 hour notice.
In some classes, audio or video discs supplement a textbook. Media Services will duplicate these discs (if given sufficient lead time), however, copyright permission must be obtained in writing prior to copying. Class related copying is free. Students only need to provide a blank replacement disc for each item copied.
Media manages and supports Apple hardware and software for computers and iPads for the college. Technical support and quote requests are made through Computing Services' Wonderdesk work order system.
