Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) from First Search The ERIC database is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Education. Sources include 630 journals and 350 education-related organizations. This database contains many full-text ED documents and educational digests.
Chronicle of Higher Education allows access to the current contents of this weekly magazine as well as back issues dating back to 1989. It includes data (by state) on faculty, students, and administrators from the annual Almanac of Higher Education. It also provides employer profiles and lists job openings.
Academic Search Premier provides full text coverage for nearly 4,700 scholarly publications, including more than 3,700 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study from current articles back to 1975.
Education majors may want to explore databases oriented to K-12 students, such as Primary Search, Middle School Plus, and MAS Ultra-School Edition.
Electronic journals can be searched by selecting " Find Magazines or Newspapers by Title" from the library home page. Researchers may also get a list of e-journals available on a given topic by selecting a subject category using the same link. The following journals are available electronically on education.
