Many major universities produce Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs) which generally include free lectures, exams, videos, notes, and more.
Yale offers professional quality lecture videos recorded live in the classroom with a videographer following the action. Courses include a variety of disciplines in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
MIT courses are organized by subject with free lecture notes, exams, and videos. Not all courses have videos.

Academic Earth includes many free lectures from scholars at institutions such as MIT, Notre Dame, Drexel, and UCLA, but it is also an advertisement to students who wish to earn online degrees in distance programs. The site is organized around universities, instructors, subjects, and playlists. In the Humanities section, for example, one finds lectures related to history, languages, literature, religious studies, and even communications and education from Yale, Stanford, and UCLA
This site offers around 50 online courses for free; please note that to receive credit, there are fees involved. Over 5300 lessons which are taught by subject matter experts are accompanied by short, bite-sized videos (5-10 minutes long). Subjects include: Science, Humanities, Spanish, Math, English, Social Science, History, and Business.
